The Scripps Miramar Ranch Friends of the Library (SRFOL), a chapter of the Friends of the San Diego Public Library (FSDPL), operates under an adopted set of bylaws.

In order to comply with IRS §501(c)(3) non-profit, educational organization and California State requirements, as well as the policies and procedures defined in the recently adopted Bylaws of the Friends of the San Diego Public Library, the SRFOL Bylaws were revised and adopted by the general membership on July 14, 2021.

The SRFOL chapter operates under the direction of the [Greater/Corporate] Friends of the San Diego Public Library (FSDPL). As such, the SRFOL is required to adhere to the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws of the FSDPL, which are included in the SRFOL Bylaws by reference.
