![]() Grace's Book Nook welcomes donations of new and used hardcover and softcover books, magazines, CDs, DVDs, and audiobooks. In addition, the Book Nook is happy to accept donations of (unused) greeting cards, intact jigsaw puzzles, educational games, etc. Since the Scripps Ranch Friends of the Library, which operates Grace's Book Nook, §501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization, all donations made to Grace's Book Nook are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law under Internal Revenue Service tax regulations. Please visit the front circulation desk at the Scripps Miramar Ranch Library Center to facilitate your donation. In exchange for your donation, you will receive an official, signed receipt which may be used to document your donation for income tax purposes. During the parking lot expansion project, parking arrangements and library access may vary depending on the phase of construction. The Scripps Miramar Ranch Library and Grace's Book Nook continue to welcome donations of books and media! During the parking and access challenges posed by the current parking lot expansion project, it is suggested that you call the library (858-538-8158) in advance to discuss the logistics of donating—especially if you're donating large numbers of books. It may be advisable to try to avoid the later afternoon hours on weekdays as parking is especially impacted then. Currently, the lower lot is completely blocked; the only available on-site parking is in the upper lot, which includes spaces reserved for those with handicapped license plates or placards. A staff member or volunteer may be available to assist in transferring your donation to the library. Don't throw your old or used books away! Donate them to Grace's Book Nook, get a tax deduction, support the operation of the Scripps Miramar Ranch Library Center, and place your books in the hands of an appreciative reader. |
