The Scripps Ranch Friends of the Library is looking for people to fill selected Board vacancies and Volunteer positions.

Open positions are:
Historian |
Keeps copies of programs/flyers/invitations/photos/etc that are part of SRFOL fund-raising events and other programs. Organizes and assembles the material for archival reference. |
Volunteer Coordinator |
Contacts individuals who have expressed an interest in volunteering for the SRFOL. Coordinates interest and availability with current needs. Coordinates the annual volunteer potluck lunch, which is held in May. |
Folio Distribution |
Performs the bulk mailing of the SRFOL bulletin. This position takes about 1-2 hours every other month. |
Hospitality |
Organizes a committee to prepare and serve refreshments, including set-up and clean-up, after the monthly Pleasure of Your Company Sunday music concerts. |
Bookplate
Chair |
Writes and mails letters to SRFOL members and friends soliciting donations for the SRFOL Bookplate program, which rewards donors by placing a bookplate with the donor's name in one or more library books. |
Membership Chair |
Maintains the databases of SRFOL members and the Pleasure of Your Company music program mailing list. Prints labels for mailings. Solicits annual membership renewals. Acknowledges membership donations. |
Music Programs Assistant |
Assists the Music Programs Chair by acknowledging donors who contribute to the Pleasure of Your Company Chamber Music Series. May be called upon to coordinate with the Hospitality committee, and may participate with others in suggesting and auditioning performers. |
Childrens Program Assistant |
Aids the Childrens Program Chair arranging and coordinating monthly childrens prorgams, the summer reading program, and the annual childrens essay contest. |
Assistant Treasurer |
Assists the Treasurer of the SRFOL in preparation for eventually becoming the Treasurer's successor. |
Audit Committee Chair |
Supervises the annual audit of the financial records of the SRFOL. Chairs the audit committee (typically 2-3 people). Major work occurs in July and August and tends to take 5-8 hours. |
Audit Committee Member |
Serves on the Audit committee and performs the annual audit of the financial records of the SRFOL with other committee members. |
